There are several exciting milestones on the lead-up to the release of a new book, culminating of course, in publication day. There are few feelings that can match that of knowing that your book is out in the wild, ready to be ready and enjoyed by people other than myself and my family. But one of the other best moments is getting the final book cover and being able to share that with the world. And today is that day! Today I’m revealing the cover for my upcoming YA novel Frost Hands. I’m so excited to be able to show it to you finally. I think it’s absolutely gorgeous, and I hope you do too!
Being a mutant has never brought Eric anything but trouble. When a new law is proposed requiring all mutants to register their abilities, he’s determined to fight it any way he can. His stepfather’s protests feel like a step in the right direction, but to his horror, Eric quickly discovers that they’re not as innocent as they seem.
Nicola is thrilled when she and her team are given their first real mission; investigating the recent attacks disrupting the protests. At last, she can prove she has what it takes to be an agent. But mistake after mistake leaves Nicola and her team scrambling as they chase a target who always seems to be one step ahead.
As things take a deadly turn, Eric and Nicola must join forces in a desperate attempt to stop the final protest. In a battle of mutants against mutants, doing what’s right means sacrificing everything.
I have a quote in Frost Hands that goes: “Do the right thing, even if it hurts…Especially when it hurts. That’s when it’s the most important.” This is pretty much the heart of the book. It’s an exciting race against time with mutants, superpowers, agents, dramatic fights, but also characters struggling with the difficult decision to stand up for what you believe in, no matter how difficult it is. It’s the first book in my brand new series The Mutation Files.
Frost Hands releases on September 30th. Preorders open today, so hop over and order your copy now! (Find it on Amazon Australia HERE)
