We’ve done a few cover reveals on this blog in the past, including the most recent one for ‘The Windward King’. But all of those pale in comparison, because today is the day I get to show you all the cover for ‘The Iron Winter’. I have been in love with this cover ever since my amazing designer and I first came up with the idea. (By which I mean I ummed and erred for a while, and then she showed me her idea, and we went with that because she has way better visions for my book covers than I do, and I wouldn’t know what to do without her.) So please, feast your eyes on the loveliness that is ‘The Iron Winter’.
Added to that, I’m also so please to be able to finally share the official blurb for ‘The Iron Winter’ as well. Take your first peek at what ‘The Iron Winter’ is all about:
What would you risk to secure your freedom?
Never brave the dark. Dangers lurk in the shadows that not even the most experienced ranger can fight. But, when Calla is caught out after nightfall, she meets a wounded stranger that challenges everything she accepted as truth
Never trust anyone. On the run from his past crimes, trusting anyone will only end with Bo in chains. But, when he stumbles into the village of Stonefalls, the kindness and acceptance of the villagers makes him wonder if a second chance is possible.
Never back down. The iron winter that grips the mountain isn’t the only trouble Stonefalls faces. A ravenous beast stalks it walls, and no one is safe from its hunger. Calla and Bo must stand together to protect the village. But first, Bo must overcome the demons of his past, or risk losing this new life forever.
Return to the world of ‘The Crystal Tree’ in this thrilling stand-alone companion novel set deep in the northern mountains.
‘The Iron Winter’ takes us back to the world of my other two fantasy novels, ‘The Crystal Tree’ and ‘The Shattering Song’, in a brand new adventure. It’s not a sequel, as those two books are a completed duology, but is rather a spin-off, set in the same world, in the aftermath of the events from the duology, featuring all new characters. You can read it after enjoying The Song Magic duology, or read it by itself. It stands alone, and you don’t have to have read any other book in order to be able to enjoy it. Although, they do look amazing all sitting together, don’t they?
So there we have it, the absolutely stunning cover for ‘The Iron Winter’. I am so happy that I’ve finally been able to share it with you. Every time I saw progress on it, I desperately wanted to be able to share it with someone. And that day is finally here, and I couldn’t be happier.
Links for ‘The Iron Winter’ on Goodreads will be available very soon, as will preorders, and the official release date, so please be on the lookout for those. I’ll update you all again really soon! I’m sure I’ll ave plenty to share in the coming weeks about the book, it’s journey to release, the characters, maybe some fun excerpts and more. But, in the meantime, leave me a comment down below and let me know how much you love the cover!
